It was Mr S. Hurst- Seager, A.R.1.8.A., of Christchurch, who won the third prize in the Town Hall design competition. Colonel Dadbha, an Indian Prince, who came to Australia with the Indian Contingent, is expected to arrive at Auckland on the 12th inst.
The Right Hon. R. J. Seddon has received a communication from the Hon. A. J. Peacock, Premier of Victoria, informing him that the draft letter to be forwarded to the! Eastern Extension Company’s Board had been sent to- the Premier of Queensland, and that if . the latter approved it would be sent on, as arranged by thel Conference, to the Eastern Extension Board in London.
