Among the passengers by the Monowai from Sydney last week were Major Willoughby and Captain Corbet, who are visiting New Zealand with the object of enjoying some trout fishing. Major Willoughby is Military Secretary to Lord Hopetoun, and will 'be remembered as having been connected with the Jameson raid. Captain * Corbet is A.D.C. to Lord Hopetoun. The Hon J. Frost, a member of the Cape Ministry, and the Hon F. R. Moor, Secretary for Native Affairs in Natal, were passengers from Sydney by the Monowai last week. Messrs Frost and Moor Avere the representatives of South ’ Africa at the celebrations in connec- « tion with the inauguration of the Aus-^' tralian Commonwealth.
