The Talcapuna Jockey Club's Meeting, which was postponed owing to the Queen’s death, opens on Saturday. | At a meeting of. the Hawke’s Bay Metropolitan Jockey Club on Monday night Messrs Hearn and Kennedy appealed from the decision of the Woodville District Jockey Club in paying the. stakes in the Hack Scurry to Robin Gray, contending that the rider of that, v horse could not draw the weight when A he weighed in. The Woodville Club wrote forwarding the evidence taken in the matter, and on that evidence it was resolved that the decision of the Woodville istewmrds be upheld.—The judgment in the Paterson appeal case was , read, and it was resolved that in view j of the decision of the Appeal Court, the * disqualification of R, W. Paterson and his horses shall terminate on the 9th April. It was resolved that the stakes be paid over to R. W.
