Mr James Rout, for the last three years city representative of the Singer Manufacturing Company, left _ on Thursday for Adelaide, where he will be city manager for the company. On the eve of his departure the company’s Wellington employees have presented Air Rout with, a keyless silver Rotheram watch, suitably inscribed, as a mark of esteem and respect. The Mount Cook School Committee, of which Mr Rout was during the last twelve months an energetic member, has presented him with a silver-mounted walking stick, bearing an appropriate inscription.
