WHISH AW—BAILEY. At St. John's Church, Feilding, on January Bth, a pietty wedding was solemnised, the contracting parties being Mr William Munro Whishaw, third son, of Mr W. Y. Whishaw, of Kimbolton, anl Miss Jane Manning Bailey, eldest daughter of Mr W. A . L. Bailey, of Taonui. The ceremony was conducted bj r the Rev. A. S. InnesJones in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends of the contracting parties. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in white .satin with,the orthodox veil and orange blossom, also wearing a gold chain bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was attended by the Misses Lizzie Bailey (sister of the bride), who wore cream lustre and hat with red poppies, Leonie Bailey (a cousin), and Rhoda Whishaw (a, sister of the bridegroom) as bridesmaids. The two latter wore pale blue silk with white silk hats and carried baskets of flowers. Mr Albert Groves (Wairarapa) acted as best man. At the conclusion of the service in the church a. large number of guests—the relatives and immediate friends of the newlywedded couple—were entertained at an “At Home” at the residents of the bride's parents (Taonui). The bride's bouquet was presented to her by Mr Goodey, of Colyton. The bridegroom's present to tire chief bridesmaid was a, gold bangle and to the smaller bridesmaids he gave gold brooches. In the evening the happy couple left on a honeymoon trip to Wanganui prior to their .residing at their new home at Fitzherbert (Palmerston North), carrying with them the good wishes of a large circle of friends. der. eldest son of Inspector Pender, long and favourably known in Canterbury and this city, and Aliss Norali AlcParland, eldest daughter of Air F. AlcParland, .UP,, ahold resident of the AVest Coast, bnt who-for many years past has been engaged in business in Wellington. The bride was attired in a handsome grey silk, trimmed with white silk and Chilton, white picture hat trimmed with silk and plumes, and carried a shower bouquet and wore- a gold watch and chain, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid, Aliss K. AlcParland, wore a white embroidered dress, blue chiffon hat trimmed with satin and tips, and carried a bouquet and wore a gold Nellie Stewart bangle, a gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by his brother. Air F. Pender. The Rev. Father O'Shea officiated, assisted by the Rev. Father Holly. The bride’s mother was dressed in. biac-k brocaded silk and wore a. stylish bonnet, trimmed with silver and cerise. Aliss Aldridge (Nelson) wore a black and white' check relieved with white, and a pretty pink hat. Aliss Edie Short (Nelson) wore a white silk dress and white hat trimmed with pink roses. After the ceremony the guests drove to the residence of the bride's parents, where a. sumptuous breakfast was served. Amongst the guests were the Hon.
