ALDINGTON LIRE STOCK SAIDS. CHRISTCHURCH, January DU At Addington to-day the entries were : —-5500 fat" sheep, 5500 fat lambs, 3650 store slieep, 318 cattle, and 435 pigs. Fat cattle —Mostly light weight- heifers and cows, with only a few steers. Heavy sorts were slightly easier, hut handy weights sold well. Good to prime beef, 22s to 245, others 18s to 21s per 1001 b. ; steers, £6 to £9, up to_ £ll 10s for extra good; heifers, £6 15s to £7 12s 6d, cows £4 17s 6cl to £7 ss, dairy cotvs £4 10s to £8 ss. Store cattle —A good sale. Threeyear steers, £4 18s, £5 5s ; clo. heifers, £4; three-year mixed, £4; two-year steers, £3 19s; two-year mixed', £3 19s 6d ; yearlings,-£1 10s; cows, £2 7s 6d to £4 17s 6d. Fat sheep—A mixed entry. Good wethers for export sold well at 18s to 22s 3d; others, ' easier, were at 16s to 17s 6d. Best ewes were in good demand at 36s to 19s; others, in excess of supply, 13s to los. Merino wethers, 12s to 17s 6d. Lambs—There was keen demand for freezing, and 4000 were taken for export at 15s to 17s lOd ; others, 13s 9d to 14s 6cl. Store sheep —All were keenly competed for. Wethers,' 16s, 17s 3d, 17s Bd, to 18s lOcl; ewes, 15s to 18s 6cl; ewes and lambs, 9s to 12s 5d all counted; lambs, 10s ocl to 14s 4d. Pigs—Fats were without alteration.
