A birthday is a rare event for people born on the 29th of February, but they will now Pave the uncommon experience of doine without one for no lees than eight shears In the ordinary , course, 1900 would have been leap year, but it becomes necessary every now and again to omit the extra day in four years in order to keep the dates and seasons correct. Hence there will be no February 29 this year, and so those who last had a birthday in 1896 will have to wait till 1904 for another.
