Lady Hilda and Lady * Mary Keppe} have left Government House for Napier Purvis and Mrs Purvis were installed as master and matron of the Ohiro Home on Saturday. The inmates, numbering about .sixty, of both sexes, were assembled in one of the large rooms, *and Mr G. H. Baylis (chairman of the Benevolent Institution Trustees) introduced the new master and matron to them. He urged them to assist the master and matron in maintaining the discipline of the Home. They would'be treated with every possible kindness, but firmness would be exercised in carrying out the rules of the establishment. Any complaints must be made to the master and matron, who would lay them before the Trustees. Mr Purvis said that he and his wife would study the comfort of the inmates, but, at the same time they would see that the rules were strictly observed. Short speeches in the same tenor as that given by the chairman were also made by the Revs J. K. Elliott, J. B. Glasson and W. A. Evans. Mr Baylis read a letter signed by all the inmates testifying to the kincfeaess. of Mrs McCleary, and wishing; her and her family every success. Cheers for MrsMcCleary and family, the_ new master and matron and the Trustees brought the proceedings to a close.
