A large number of influential ratepayers, representing every part of the Horokiwi Riding of the Hutt County, met at Pahautanui on Saturday for the purpose of discussing matters affecting the interests of the riding. After the opinion had been expressed by most of tlioso present that the ratepayers’ interests had not been properly conserved of late years, it- was decided that a change in the representation of the County Council was necessary.
