Madame Trebelli, the world-famed soprano, commenced her second tour of the Australasian colonies at the Choral Hah, Auckland, on Friday last. She was assisted by Mr John Prouse, of Wellington, Miss Emily Reeve and Miss Florence Hardinge. Mr Prouse’s items included the prologue from “I Paliaeci" and the Hungarian folk-lore song "nad a Horse,” both of which songs received artistic treatment. Mr R. A. Dexter, the crack cyclist, who has been residing in Auckland for some time, left there for his home in Honolulu by the Moana o»n Monday last. Flounders are not perhaps as much esteemed as they ought to be. The flesh is delicate and very easily digested, besides having the "fishy” flavour so nnTch relished by lovers of fish. The latest statistics show that there are seventy-seven electric railways in operation in Germany.
