A pleasant gathering took place at Wakapuaka on Tuesday evening, ■when Mr W. Watson, an old College boy, and a son of Mr William Watson, of Wellington, was entertained by the combined staffs at the cable station. Mr Watson, who has been attached to the cable service at Wakapuaka for the past two years, has been promoted to Singapore, ana leaves in a few days for his new post. Mr Watson received many mementoes from his comrades at Cable Bay, who accorded him a hearty send-off, with best wishes for his future.
