Messrs Freeman R. Jackson and Co., in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams, report on their Johnsonville stock sale as follows: —Fat cattle were forward in usual numbers, and with few exceptions the quality was second-rate to inferior, many of the bullocks presenting a very wasted appearance for this class. Not more than 15s the 1001 b ruled; prime beef made up to 17s. Prices ranged from £6 10s to £7 10s for good quality; and from £4 10s to £5 15s for inferior. There was a full muster of sheep, but those forward were below the advertised numbers. “SThey were well competed for throughout the sale. The class and quality was good, but with no extra weights. Fat ewes brought 12s to 13s Id; others, 9s lid to 11s 6d; stores, 8s to 9s 6d; fat wethers, 15s to 16s. There were no pigs or lambs yarded.
