Mr Ayson, of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, and his assistant, arc just now netting the tributaries of the Upper Hut river with n view of obtaining a supply of sea trout ova. He proposes visiting the Mangatainoka river and Makuri, in the Forty-mile Bush, w’here there are some fine rainbow trout, for a similar purpose. Tenders will close at noon of Monday, June 26th, for the erection of the new Post and Telegraph Office at Masterton. They are to he addressed to the Minister of Public Works, Wellington. Plans and specifications may be seen at the Public Works Department, Government Buildings, and at the Masterton, Napier and Wanganui Post Offices.
