Kerosene had,, been sprinkled over the woodwork, evidently the work of tho individual who made the previous attempt. Tho installation of W.M. Bro. C. C. McMillan, D.G.M., designate of the District Grand Lodge of Auckland, 8.C., took place at a brilliant Masonic gathering at the Choral Hall. Tho Auckland Club held a ''friends night," and the Northern club gave a ball in honour of the event.
