At the Epsom Summer Meeting to-day, the result of the chief event, the Derby, was as follows : The Derby Stakes, of 6000 sovs, by subscription of 50 sovs each, h. ft., or 5 sovs only if declared by the first Tuesday in January, 1896 ; for tliree-year-plds; colts, 9st ; fillies, Bst 91b. The nominator of the winner to the second horse 300 -sovs, and the owner of the third 200 sovs out of the stakes. About one mile and a half. 301 subs. Mr J.
