THE COMING WELLINGTON SHOW.

I wo*ld remind local and district fanciers that the fourteenth annual exhibition of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeoii and Canary Show is due on the Ist, 2nd and 3 d of July. The schedules are nowprinted and all fanciers and intending 62 hibitors should note the fact that the 1.-.afc day for receiving entries is Thursday, Jme 21. Th.« prize list has been arranged with great care and liberality, oror .£4OO being the value of the prizes to bo allotted by the judge. Mr II E. Bannister is again the honorary secretary and may be rulied upon to show all his well known e «ergy in working up the show. It is certain that in conjunction with the strong managing committee he will neglect nothing to make the exhibition a complete success. Mr Thos. L. Barker will act as t reasurer. I would direct special attention to the fact that the committee have decided to distribute no fewer than ten trophies each of the value of £lO 10s, the prize winners having the chance of either c ish or trophy. Details of the competitions for which these special prizes are given may be learned by consulting the prize list issued by the society, a prize list most complete in every way and which should be studied by all exhibitors. A series of well executed engravings of 1 ideal heads ’ of the leading varieties of poultry adds much to the attractiveness of the sheet which has been tastefully printed in the office of the New Zealand Times Company. Entry papers may be obtained from the secretary and the treaturer, and also from Messis Townsend fuid Paul, Willis street, Mr D. D. Hyde, jjambfcon Quay, and Messrs George Thomas and Co., auctioneers, or from any member of the committee.
