After considering 1 tho communications, it was decided to reply that the committee had full confidence in its officer, and saw no reason to call upon him for an explanation for alleged grievances. St. Paul continues to hold his position as favourite for the Auckland Cup, though little money is invested on him at the price quoted —3 to 1. At Ellerslie this morning, Day Star travelled a mile and a half, the last half-mile at top. Ho pulLid up all right. St. Paul covered the Cup distance in good style.
