NOMINATIONS—Hack Hurdles, Welter, Martin Memorial, L.V.J.C., and both Hack Handicaps—close with the Secretary, at the Martinborough Hotel, Martinborough, on SATURDAY, December sth, at 8 p.m. WEIGHTS declared and published in the Wairarapa Standard on MONDAY, December 14th. ACCEPTANCES for same, and entries for Maiden Hack Race on SATURDAY, December 19th, at 9 p.m, MAILS close at Featherston for Martinborough on arrival of morning train from Wellington. Telephone office closes at Martinborough 5 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races will be run under the Rulos of Racing as adopted by the Wellington Metropolitan Club. No qualification fee. The saddling bell will ring at 11.30 a.m. The first race will start at 12 noon sharp. Each race will start punctually at iho time appearing in the correct card of tho races. No scratching of horsos allowed except through tho Secretary, and not later than 30 minutes beforo the time of starting. All nominations and entries to be made in writing, sealed, and addressed to tho Secretary ; entrance money to be enclosed, with sex, name, age, pedigree and previous performances of horses, name of the owner, and Golours of the rider. Tho attention of owners is particularly directed to the following : No nomination or acooptanco will bo accepted without the amount of requisite fees. No nomination or acceptance will be accepted after time named under any pretence whatever. No entry will be received for any of the races except upon tho conditions that all claims, disputes and objections arising out of the races shall be decided by a majority of tho Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. In case of a protest, the same must be lodged with the Secretary in writing within fifteen minutes after the race is run, with a deposit of 2 guineas, such deposit to bo forfeited if the protest is nos sustained. Hack shall mean a horse that has never won an advertised raco at an3 r time (hack or hunter races excepted) and is not nominated for any race other than hack or hunter races at time of entry.
