PENNANT MATCH : NEWTOWN v. THORNDON.
The above match was played on Thorndon Gieen on Saturday last, and resulted in a -win for Newtown by 12 points. Subjoined are the scores :

No. 2 Kink.—Newtown Bary, Morris, Underwood, Prince (skip), 21, v. Thorndon— D. J. Nathan, Bathain, Barry, McGlashan (skip), 18. . No. 3 Rink. —Newtown Alpe, Swiney, Steele, Richards (skip), 19, v. Thorndon — Wright, W. Nathan, Flanagan, Boss (skip), 25.
No. 4 Rime. Newtown Butterworth, Bell, Sloan, Webb (skip), 18, v. Thorndon— Hickson, Leslie, Mclntyre, Lr MacGregor (skip), 29. The totals were : —Newtown, 96 ; Thorndon, 84 ; majority for Newtown, 12 points. Simultaneously with the Pennant Match, Messrs Prince and McGlashan's rink played for possession of the Edwin Feathers, and, as shown above, Newtown succeeded in carrying off the trophies by 3 points.
