A successful Masterton exhibitor at the
agricultural show received a telegram on the ground last week for which lie had to pay 2s. He opened it in feverish haste, after paying the messenger, only to find that it was from some Auckland gentleman, who congratulated him on his prize-taking. The receiver of the wire acted as judge in Auckland at the last .show, and, as he'did not know the sender of the message, the reader of this brevity can form his own conclusions.
