Tho results of the poll for the election of representatives for the Porirua, Mungaioa and Whareroa ridings of the Hutfc County Council are as follow's :— Porirua (two representatives) —F. A. Majondie, 136 ; R. Bouid, 111; J. Mitchell, 71; B. Cumings, /0; informal, L Mungnroa (one) —G. Brown, ; A McCulloch, 30 ; informal, 5. liarema (one) H. A. Field. 80 ; O. P. Lynch, 48; informal. L. Groat interest war. taken in tho contest, the polling being the heaviest known in the county. In all cases the sitting members wore returned, and a new member has been elected for one of tho Porirua seats m place of Mr W. Jillot, who was not a candidate
