Sir Francis Drake sailed from Falmouth, England, in 1577, and circumnavigated the globe, and after many perilous adventures returned to England in 1580. Circumnavigation, however, was not brought to a science until the present century, and strangely enough it has attained to its greatest strength in Australasia, where throughout the length and breadth of the continent the public are circumnavigated by scoundrels in sheep's clothing who palm off vile concoctions which they place in empty bottles which previously held the genuine Wolfe's Schnapps.
