A Samoan correspondent writing to a Sydney paper says :— " There can be no doubt that tlio attempt—somewhat insidious —to introduce the Gorman language as tho official language hero is significant, and points to an assertion of superiority on the part of the Germans. Tho whole position at present is that the natives are divided, and there is an alarming prospect of an outbreak, and that the national line as between Americans, Britishers and Germans has been stretched, to its utmost limit,"
