ENTRIES, WEIGHTS, ACCEPTANCES.
NORTH NEW ZEALAND GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. Auckland, June 1. Mr Evett has declared the following weights in connootion with tho first day's racing of tho North Now Zealand Grand National Meeting -. Maiden Steeplechase, abcut two miles and a half.
The United Hunt Club's hounds met on Saturday at Mr Karp'g farm, Tawa Flat. Tho hounds wore thrown o/T ;it ivirp's paddock, and ran at a merry pace about two miles, when a check was called. They were then led across the river and hud on, running to Mr Tremcwan's. Owing t* cultivation. tho hounds wore taken out on to tho roal, and tho field then proceeded to Mr Wall's. Jumping into t.lio paddock at the side of Mr Walt's house, the hounds, followod by the field, ran down to the paddock at the back of tho Porirua Hotel, where the run terminated. About 20 followed, amongst whom were :
Miss Julia Skorrett, [on Lurlino ; Mr Jas. Coatcs, on Lancelot; Mr J. C. Hanna, on Freslififdd ; Mr C. P. Skcrrctt, on Halicoro ; Mr E. Lucholz, on How's That; Mr Augusteen, on Sweet William ; and Alessrs Petoi's, Morris and Grey. The hounds were in charge of Mr George McDonald, the Club's huntsman.
Tho four thoroughbred racing stallions which Mr Gollan is sending to England were- shipped by Ibe Wakatipu on Wednesday. Tho horses aro: — Sternchaser (Nordenfcldt-—Crinoline), The Po. cj-
sible (Nordenfeldt—Realisation, dam of Maxim), Mousquotaire (Nordenfeldt — Frailty, dam of Trenton), and Pounamu (Newminster —Beryl, full sister to Nordonfeldt).
