Tho Marramarra, which ran ashore on the beach near Oeo, is lying or rather standing upright, in very few fathoms of water, but id unapproachable from all quavtora, and at any tide the foremast ia hanging by the shrouds, and has bumped a large hole in tho port bow. There does not seem to be the alighte.it hopos of saving the vessel, though thero may be some hopes of securing the engines. Mr Charles Macindoc, for some years advertising clerk for tho New Zealand Herald, died suddenly at Invcrcargill last week.
