Sydney, May 2G. The Sydnoy Turf Club’s races, postponed from Saturday owing' to the rain, were held yesterday. The principal events resulted: Royal Stakes, six furlongs.—Akarini, Gst 81b, 1; Patrono,}7st 121 b, 2; Hurct, 7st 121 b, 3. Sixteen horses started. Won by a length. Time, lmin 17soc. Jockey Club Handicap. Cooee, 1 ; Moddler, 2; Newcastle, 3. Sixteen started. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min Msec. The Birthday Cup was won by Captain, liosponso second, and Form third. Twentythree horses started. Captain won by a head after a rattling finish, half a length only between second and third. Time, 2min 40scc. Melbourne, May 2*>. The Birthday Handicap at the. V.R.C. Meeting was won by Chovalier, Disfigured second, and Straightfiro third. Nineteen started. Won by a length. Time, 2min 13 ; ,’see. Adelaide, May 2(5. The Adelaide Cup, yesterday, resulted in a win for Destiny, Lord Granville second, and Lord Richmond third. Destiny won by a longth nnd a half. Time, 2min Msec. Brisbane, May 2G. In the Cup Tornado and Ncwbold ran a dead heat, Young Buckthorpe third. Time, 3min 3|soe. The owner of Ncwbold declined tlie run off, and Tornado cantered over the course.
