THE DEATH OF MRS M‘NAB.
An inquest concerning the sudden death of Airs AleXab, of MeNab’s Gardens, Lower JI nit, was field on Tuosday afternoon before Mr J. Ashcroft, Coroner. The evidence showed that the deceased was apparently in good health when retiring on Sunday night. She did not como down to breakfast on Monday morning, but this did not excite any surprise, as she was accustomed when not well to remain in bed until tho afternoon. About 2 or 3 o’clock in the afternoon R. A. AlcNab, son of the deceased, knocked at deceased’s bedroom, but received no answer, although he fancied lie heard her move. Between 5 and G o’clock lie went up again, and on opening the door found deceased lying dead on the floor, face downwards. The medical evidence was that death was due to sudden failure of the heart’s action, and that deceased must have been dead 12 or 18 hours before being discovered. A verdict in accordance with the medical testimony was returned. Tho news of the death of Mrs McNab has been reoeived with widespread regret.
