Dunedin, May 20. An enquiry was opened at Palmerston to-day before Major Koddell, SAL, and Mr A. .McKerniw into the action of the Stock Department, in prohibiting the sale for human eoiismnpLimi of milk from 25 cows belonging to Thomas Johnston, of Flag Swamp. MrSoloiirui appeared for a number of re-idenls in the district at whose instance t lie inquiry is instituted, and Dr Findlay for tlm Stuck' Department. 'Two witnesses were examined.
