A French authority on dairying gays of spaying milch cowslf we properly understand tho matter, the effect of the spaying seems to be that it produces a more abundant supply of milk, which acquires at the same time a greater richness in quality, resulting in the following advantages to tho dairyman : —First, an increase of one-third in quality of milk ; second, certainty of having a uniform quantity ; third, the cow is not exposed to the accidents that often occur when she is in season ; fourth, as she will not generate, all the accidents of gestation and calving are avoided; fifth, greater disposition to fatten when milk fails, or the owner Wishes to part with her.
