Auckland, May 13. Mr Seymour Thorne George has received a cablegram from Sir George Grey stating that Mrs and Miss George have sailed for New Zealand. Evidently Sir George Grey has abandoned his intontiun of returning to the Colony. There are 50 cases of typhoid in the Auckland Hospital firm town and country. The hospital authorities intimate that they cannot take further cases, as all the available accommodation is absorbed. The abnormal increase of typhoid is unexplained.
