Capetown, May 13. The column headed by Mr Rhodes burnt the Movene kraal, which contained largo stores of grain. A sharp fight took place, in which Mr Rhodes displayed much bravery. Capetown, May 15. Captain Napier’s force defeated a rebel indium, killing fifty of his followers. It will effect a junction with Mr Cecil Rhodes with six hundred men. Huavy lighting is expected. The town of Salisbury has three weeks’ food supply. Capetown, Slay 16. Captain Napier’s scouts followed the Matabelo for four miles into tho forest, and killed eighty. The Portuguese are lending the Chartered Company rifles, horses and waggons.
