THE MINISTER OF LANDS.
At the invitation of tho WaimaknririAshley Water Supply Board, the lion J. McKenzie, accompanied by Messrs Buddo and Meredith, visited West Oxford on Thursday, and inspected the works.
In tho evening the Minister was entertained at a banquet, and his health was drunk with musical honours. Messrs Collins, Buddo and Meredith were present. Later on tho Minister spoke at tho conclusion of Air Collins’ address at East Oxford, and both received a vote of thanks, and a vote of confidence in the Government was also carried. Tho Hon J. McKenzie addressed a large mooting at Kaiapoi last week, and received a vote of thanks, a voto of confidence in tho Government also being earriod unanimously.
