TUNNEL UNDER SYDNEY HARBOUR.
London, May 12. Negotiations have boon concluded botween prominent City financiers and tho promoters of a scheme to connect Sydney with North Sydney by moans of a tunnel under tho harbour. The proposal is to niako (lie tuunol largo enough for an electric railway lino and a roadway for vehicular trallic. The capital for tbe construction of the railway is to be JJ3.1(1,001), and for the tunnel'and roadway, i;2o0,000. A portion of tho money is to bo raised in the colony.
