Two Yankee fanners wore ploughing in adjoining fields. As they lunula', Hie line fence they engaged in conversation. One drove a sleek, fat, spiiiled rerun ; the other a wail' of veritable horse-l'ranu.s. Alter seine talk, the latter proposed to Lade horses, which was timiiiy dene, the owner t,!' the poor team r> ' jl,i U) hoot, and the ho:\~es were excham'od then and there. One year j.itur"" the two farmers again met.
had a poor team on his bands, and was willing" to pay oOdol to his neighbour to trade °a"ain for his former team, which were now sleek and fat. If this isn't a good illustration of the reason why some men are rich and others poor, we don't know where to look for one. Of two farmers on adjoining farms, one has a productive, well-cultivated and well-fenced farm, with good buildings ; the other has exactly tho reverse. Why is this thus ?
