An ingenious instrument ended the ships' course recorder has been placed for the inspection of members in the cloak room of the House of Commons. 'I he machine records exactly, by means of a clockwork arrangement, the course of any vesael to which if may be fitted, as well as the smallest deviation from it, and it has been to some extent adopted by such eminent shipowners as the Canard Steamship Company and the Union Steamship Company. Indeed, the captain of a Cunard vessel reports that he has found the recorder materially to assist in shortening a voyage owing to tho accuracy with which it marks any divergence from tho proper course. Parliament will meet for tho despatch of business on Thursday, Juno 11th.
