SHIPPING.
Tho Burrumbeot arrived in port on Saturday morning after an adventurous trip from Napier, the steamer having been nearly 40 hours out with a Bontherly gale blowing all tho time. In fact she had to slow clown after fetching the Kidnapper*. Tho Burrumbect is a much larger boat than she seems from the outside, being' very broad and doop. She has very comfortable saloon accommodation ; her poop deck is of pine planking, but her main deck is of iron. Captain Hood, of the Anglian, is temporarily in charge of the steamer, with Mr Cerutty, purser and Mr Edwards, chief steward, also from the Anglian, under him. The other officers are : —Chief officer, Mr Wise; second, Mr Maitland; third, Mr Burke; chief engineer, Mr Sylais; second, Mr Pax ton ; third, Mr Speneo. She sailed for South in tho afternoon.
