THE MINISTER OF LANDS.

The Hon J. McKenzio returned to Naseby on Thursday from St. Nathan's, and left next morning for Hyde. He met several deputations at Ryan's, and arrived at, Hyde in the afternoon, where he was met and welcomed by a large number of his constituents. In the evening he addressed a meeting at Lavorty's Hall, Mr .1. Kinney presiding. Standing room was scarcely available. On his appearance Mr MoKen/.io met with a great demonstration of applause. \i>' spoke lor two and a half hours, and his speech was v. ry well received.
