THE PROPOSED VISIT OF THE AUS

TKALIAN ELEVEN. The sub-committee of tho New Zealand Cricket Council appointed to consider the letter from tho manager of the Australian Eleven asking what terms could he offered for tho team to visit New Zealand, are ol opinion that an offer should be made to the Australians of 70 per cent, of the gross takings less ground charges, with a guarantee that tho said 70 per cent, shall not bo less than JUSO for each match. If the loading associations give this guarantee and tho Council further hold out inducements in connection with the New Zealand match, the committee considers it probable the Australians would accept the terms. Tho matter is to bo considered at a special meeting of the committee of tho local association to be hold on Monday next.
