While President Cleveland was driving in the city to-day, the horses attached to his carriage took fright at a motor car and bolted.

The carriage was smashed, but the President escaped almost without injury. Ottawa, April 23.

The Canadian Parliament will bo dissolved on Friday, and the elections will take place in Juno. Lord Aberdeen, Governor-General of Canada, was out driving near Ottawa with Lady Aberdeen, when their horses fell into a waterhole, and were drowned. Lord Aberdeen with difficulty rescued his wife.
