SOME DAIRY DONT'S
Don’t think mongrel bulls can produce choice stock for any purpose. Don’t keep calves in filthy places and expect them to thrive. Don't bo afraid to spend inonoy for a bull from a good dairy herd. Don’t make your cows drink water that you could not drink yourself. Don't try to be called a large dairyman by the number of cows you keep. Don't keep a cow a month without testing her to seo if she pays her way. Don’t think that strainers or separators can take soluble tilth out of milk. Don’t run or worry cows going to and from the pasture or the milking yard. Don’t have pastures so short that cow’s must work every hour of tho day and night to get enough to eat. Don’t feel that your cows aro wasting time if they lie in the shade and chew their cuds for a few hours each day. Don’t forget to sow something that will give you plenty of greenstuff in the summer and autumn. Don’t leave cow’s with cracked or soro teats day after day, and then beat thorn because they kick while being milked.
