IVTOTICF is hereby given that the Reverend WILLIAM BAUMBFR, of Wellington, President of the Now Zealand Conference of the Wesleyan I\l othoclist Church in Now Zealand, and the Reverend DANIML J, MURRAY, of Waimate, Authorised Representative of such Church, intend to present a petition to tho General Assembly of New Zealand at the ensuing session thereof, praying for leave to introduce a Hill to he intituled an Act to vest in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in New Zealand the lands ie Now Zealand belonging to or held in trust for the United Methodist Free Churches and tho Bible Christian Church, or any of them, and to amend “The Wesleyan Methodist Church Property Trust Act, 1857,” and “ Tho Wesleyan Methodist Church Property Trust Act, 1887, Amendment Act, 1802,” and for other collateral purposes. The objects of the said Bill are : 1. To give effect to an agreement made between the Wesleyan Methodist Free Church in New Zealand, the United Methodist Free Church in New Zealand, and the Bible Christian Church in New Zealand to unite as one Church. 2. To declare that all lands and properties in New Zealand which, on the lllth day of April, 1 BfXi, might belong to or might be held in trust for the United Methodist Free Churches or the Bible Christian Church or any of them shall, from the said date (subject to and without prejudice to any mortgage, charge, encumbrance, lien, lease, agreement or other transaction allecting the same respectively), be held upon the trusts and subject to tho provisions of the Wesleyan Methodist Model Deed of New Zealand, 1887. :j. To vilidatc al’ appointments, resolutions and orders of the Annual Conference of 18DJ of tho New Zealand Wesleyan Methodist Church in reference to tho said lands, and to churches, parsonages and other buildings. 1. To repeal section d of “ The Wesleyan Methodist Church Property Trust Act, 1887, Amendment Act, 181)2,” and substitute now provisions in lieu thereof. 5. To vest all such lands and properties in tho Trustees for the time being thereof, according to the provisions of “The Wesleyan .Methodist Church Property Trust Act, 1887,” relating to “tho Register of Trustees.” (i. To extend tho provisions of the Act intended to be introduced, and of the said Acts to the ease of any other Church or Churches that may hereafter unite with the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Now Zealand. 7. In case of the union of all the Methodist Churches in Australasia, to change tho mime I of “Tho Wesleyan Methodist Church in New ' Zealand ” to “ The Methodist Church of I Australasia.”
