Auckland, April 15. A cablegram was received to-day by Mr Moss Davis stating that the New Albumin Company was registered on the 11th inst., and that the’ whole of the capital had been provided. The terms include a large working capital, payment to the local shareholders in paid-up shares, and T 10,900 cash, which, after payment of liabilities, (fee., will give a dividend to the local shareholders of between 2s 2d to 2s fid per share. A cablegram was received to-day with reference to the Alay Queen property definitely closing with regard to tho mine on tho following terms: —Capital of ,£200,000 in T 1 shares; working capital of .£21,000, the local shareholders to receive 90,000 fully paid-up shares. Invercargill, April 15. News has been received from Preservation Inlet to the effect that the quartz from tho Morning Star mine is turning out richer than any previously crushed, and a good cake may bo expected by Saturday’s steamer. Mr C. J. Hutchison received a cablegram to-day from the London negotiators for the purchase of the Waitete property asking him to forward a power of attorney. It is inferred from this that the purchase of tho Waitete property has been decided upon. Intelligence has been received by cable stating that a further deposit of £ 1000, making .£2OOO in all, has been paid in London by tho parties purchasing the New Albumin property. The directors of the Alpha met on Saturday to consider a cablegram which had been received from London containing amended terms for the dotation of the Alpha property. The directors have now submitted other terms in reply. Apparently the negotiations for the sale of the Hazel bank and Kuranui properties in London are approaching a successful termination, as tho secretary (Mr I .A. White) to-day received a cablegram from Mr T. Melville, asking that the names suggested for a local committee should be cabled Home. At a meeting of directors this morning, it was resolved to reply authorising the use of any of the names of tho present directors. It is understood that a cablegram lias been received, stating that a contract for tho purchase of the Coromandel I?reeliold Proprietary has been signed in London. The directors in the Waihi Consols Company agreed, at a meeting held to-day, to accept an offer for the property received from London on Saturday. '1 lie oiler lias been accepted, subject to the payment ot a deposit within one month and the completion of the negotiations within four months.

Herr Wiclimann, chairman of the AngloContinental Syndicate, having completed all his business arrangements in Now Zealand, left by the steamer Monowai. Herr Sclimeisser, the German scientist, who bad been over to Australia, returned by the mail steamer and proceeded to San Francisco with Herr Wiclimann, en route for England. Mr Gordon, mining inspector, who came to Auckland for a linal conference with these gentlemen, returned to Wellington to-day, blit is expected hack in tho course of a fortnight or three weeks, when he will assume the duties of his now position. Tho Harbour View, Harbour View Extended and North Mines, Tokatea Range, Coromandel, have been sold on the following terms, subject to confirmationßeports to be made by an expert to be named, tho capital to be ,£Lot),000, tho Harbour View and tho North each to got 22,500 paid up shares and .£IOOO, the Harbour View Extended to get 5000 shares, and tho working capital to be .£15,000, re-secured for a future 15,000 shares. Mr Gordon lias been appointed general manager and representative, and Mr Parks as consulting mining engineer of the company. Mr Gordon desiring to he able on occasions of special importance to take counsel with other friends of the company in Now Zealand, Herr Wiclimann lias appointed a Council of Advice, the members of which, while in no way concerned in the management of the company, will express their opinion and advice when called upon either by the general manager or by the London Hoard. Mr Gordon will bo the chairman of the council, and the Hon It. ,1. Seddou and Messrs A. G. II .rtmi and T. L. Glowing accounts recently circulated with reference to gold finds on the Darling Range, near Perth, caused a big sensation ; but ugly rumours are now current to the effect that some of the gold purporting to have been taken from the claim over which tho sensation arose was tho result of “ salting.” .Several parties who secured claims in the vicinity have been unable to find oven traces of gold.
