FASHIONABLE WEDDING IN HAWKE’S BAY.

A Hastings correspondent writes : —St. Matthew’s Church. Hastings, was filled to overflowing on Wednesday, tun Loth April, on tlio occasion of llie m imago of Miss Ada Man 1 Nelson ami Mr John Edward Luiio, of Muugaterelero and Ohestrrhope.

The choir wen* in !u’ 1 attendance at 1 sang the hymn, " How Welcome was ti Cktl!,'' as the bride was ]< d to the altar 1 her father, Mr William Nelson.

The wedding was evidently meant to be a quiet one, but tlicro was a very large and fashionable attendance of friends and relatives.

The bride looked charming in a rich cream silk, the bodice covered in chiffon and with full bishop’s sleeves. She carried a beautiful bouquet of white flowers and maidenhair fern.

Miss Hilda Nelson (youngest sister of the bride, and only bridesmaid) looked very dainty in a dress and lace It at of a darker shade of cream. .She carried a lovely bunch of white flowers with autumntinted leaves.

Mr G. W. Nelson (cousin to Miss Nelson) acted as best man to Mr Lane.

Tho ceremony was performed by the Yen. Archdeacon Samuel Williams, assisted by the Rev J. Hobbs.

canticle and the hymn, “ Oh, Perfect Love," Miss Kelly playing out the happy pair to the joyful strains of the “ Wedding March."

After the ceremony Mr and Mrs Lane drove to Clive, where the honeymoon is to be spent, their permanent residence being Chesterhope.

N. Williams, crepon dress, black bonnet with magc-nta flowers; Airs Beetkam (senior), black dress and bonnet with white in it; Airs Captain Russell, grey silk, small bonnet with primrose trimmings; Airs Colonel Fox, white muslin, small white bat; Lady Whitmore, black dress, bonnet with white osprey feathers ; Airs Joe Williams, black silk trimmed with black insertion over white silk; Airs Galway, stylish fawn tweed dress, small black bonnet with tips ; Mrs \V. H. Smith, crepon dress, picture hat with feathers ; Airs Lowry, black silk; Mrs Northe, brown tweed, becoming bat with blue feathers; Misses Gertrude and Elsie Williams, dark skirts, blouses and toques; Aliss Edith "Williams, stylish tweed and toque; Aliss St. Hill, pale blue dres3, lace fichu; Aliss Amy Hadfield, dark skirt, blouse, and large black hat.
