A. DISINFECTION WITH “SANITAS.’ A searching investigation recently made by Dr. A. b. Griffiths, F.R S E., F.C.S., the vel -know n ( bac logist, has established the fact that very minute proportions of Samtas ' Hind Sanitas 0.1 and San tas Emulsion suffice to quickly destroy the microbes of Cholera, Diphtheria, typhoid l*evci, Scailct uei, Pneumonia, Measles, Influenza, Puerperal Fever, Glanders, \ ellow I 1 ever, Ac. It Ins also been shown that the vapour of “Sanitas” Oil, as generated from the “Sanitas” Disinfecting F ami gat or, has a most destructive action on the germs of disease, and that consequently, its inhalation must be most beneficial in the treatment of Diphtheria, Phthisis, and all Diseases of the Lungs and throat. When used for fumigating sick rooms, Dr. Griffiths’ experiments show that a short time serves to destroy all the germs that are present in the air. His experiments also demonstrate that when “Sanitas” Fluid is sprayed about dwelling rooms, the microbes of disease are entirely and quickly destroyed, and that small quantities of Samtas Emu Slf)n > well destroy the same germs when present in water. Of great importance is. the further fact which s brou out bv Dr Griffiths’ investigations, namelv, that not only do ‘Sanitas Disinfectants kill all disease gums, wit thev exhibit this great advantage over other prcparations-namcly, that they also destroy the poisonous substances which are produced by disease germs and to which they largely owe then fearful chainctei. Dr Griffiths concludes his Report with these words : “ There is no doubt that ‘Sanitas’ Oil and ‘ Sanitas’ Fluid are most powerful disinfectants ; consequent y, “ they should not only be used for disinfecting rooms, hospitals, barracks prisons, Ac, but also oyed in the “ treatment of infectious diseases, such as cholera, diphtheria, scarlet fever, measles, glanders, t> phoid fete., '• tuberculosis, puerperal fever, Ac.” MEDICAL PRESS EXTRACTS. “ 1 Sanitas 1 is a valuable disinfectant, having certain advantages over aU _“, , S” / Pms <mJ Cim ,l c „, “< Sanitas’ now enjoys general favour as a disinfectant.”— Lancet. “ ‘ Sanitas ’ has met with wide recognition and approval.”—• British Medical Journal. —v —V —V "V V V —V*" Copies of Dr. Griffiths 1 Report (and others) will be sent Free on application to the Office of this paper, or to PfITZftERALD. *asss* DISINFECTING POWDER s DIRECTIONS fOil USE is nonar.d .. couiwv . , y Vtl** • /t-.m.
