A BARQUE ASHORE.

Tho barque Coromandel, coal-laden, bound for Valparaiso, was stranded in the Westport river on Thursday forenoon. Tho tug did not get proper control of the barque, which got 150 ft out of the deep water channel and took tho ground on a shallow patch, from which the tug failed to move her. About 100 tons of coal have been discharged into tho dredge hoppers. The Coromandel has been abandoned to the Underwriters. Tho vessel does not interfere with tho navigation of the port. Captain Bendall and His staff anticipate no difficulty in floating tho stranded barque as tho weather is beautifully flue. The nautical enquiry was to be held on Wednesday (yesterday), before Air AlcFarlane, S.AL, and Captains Von Sclioen and Dawson, of Wellington.
