RELIEF TO THE BRITISH FARMER.
London, April 20,
Mr Chaplin, President of the Local Government Board, has introduced a Bill to relieve farming land in England, assessing it at half the ratable value. The loss in local rates which will result if this Bill is carried is estimated at a million and a half per annum.
