SWIMMING.
Two heats of the 200yds race for the President's Cup, Wellington Swimming Club, were decided last week in Te Aro baths, and resulted as follows : —First heat —E. J. Fleming, 1 ; T. Evans, 2 ; A. J. Abbott, 3. Time, 3min 37sec. Second heat —H. Wilson, 1 ; A. H. Pringle, 2 ; J. Gamble, 3. Time, 3min 35sec. The final heat takes place this afternoon at the Queen's Wharf, so that the club may assist in the aquatic sports being held there by the crew of the barque Lutterworth.
