MISSING FRIENDS.

With a view to further increasing the utility of the New Zealand Mail, the Sditor has decided to introduce a new feature in the shape of a Missing Friends' column, in which will be published the names of persons for whom their friends are enquiring in the Home weeklies. Enquiries from persons in New Zealand and in the Australian Colonies for information of missing friends will be inserted in this column at the rate of Is for each insertion. Eeplies will be forwarded to the Editors >f Lloyd's and other papers if desired. All correspondence for this column should be addressed New Zealand Mail, . Wellington, with the words 'Missing Friends' in ths. eft Land top corner. The following persons who left the United Kingdom for Australia, or were last heard of in these colonies, are enquired for in Lloyd's "Weekly London Newspaper of October 20, the editor of which has the addresses of the enquirers. Persons who discover their friends through this publication in the New Zealand Mail are requested to acknowledge the fact when writing to the editor of Lloyd's. BARKER (JOHN) left Mears Ashby, Northamptonshire, thirty years back for New Zealand, and was last known to be trading for Grahams and Company, Hot Springs, Waiwera, Auckland. Sister Esther seeks him. BROWN (ELIZA and EMMA) went to Auckland, New Zealand, in 1874, and were last heard of ten years back. Sister Polly asks. COWLEY (JOHN) went to New Zealand 19 yearn since, and was last known to be living at Onga Onga, Hawke's Bay. New Zealand, in 1890. Father and mother enquire. Sister Selina GALE' (WILLIAM REUBEN and HARRIETT) went to Christchurch, New Zealand in 1880. Brother John asks. HAYWARD (ALFRED) left Rusthall, Tunbridge Wells, for Otago, New Zeakland, in° 1874. Brother William seeks Et (GEORGE) was last heard of from ■jfcourne, Western Australia, in April, Kra then about to go to New Zealand. Sarah and brothers Arthur and enquire. John left Wal'brook for Brooklyn, New York, 24 years ago ; others went to Feildmg, New Zealand, 20 years since. YOUNG (FRANK), engineer, worked for Burt and Co., Octogan, Dunedin, New Zealand, and lived on Maori Hill. Sister asks. (From Reynolds' Newspaper, DecemBEIi S.
