A conference of delegates of insurance companies is at present sitting in Wellington, the object being to discuss and remove anomalies that may exist in the insurance tariff in various parts of the Colony. Clarke (Liverpool, London and Globe), E. D. Craig (New Zealand Company), G. S. Jameson (United), P. Barr (Australian Alliance), J. W. Brindley (Victoria), H. E. Williams (National), J. Kirker (South British), G. A. Russell (North British), J. G. Carpenter (North German), A. Baddeloy (Palatine), W. D. Meares (Alliance). Mr T. R. Fisher is chairman of the conference.
