The man who was injured some time ago on the drainage works appeared before the Benevolent Trustees on Tuesday, and stated that he was unable to obtain work, and had been refused woi*k on tho drainage works. Single men, he said, were given work there in preference to married men. The man was' gran-ted- rations, and givon a letter to the Mayor to see if ho can be reinstated on the y/orks.
